General Information about the workshop

The 2011 Hangzhou Workshop on Quantum Matter - Unconventional Superconductivity and Electron Correlations will be held in Hangzhou, China, on the Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University, in April 10-13, 2011. The workshop will be in conjunction with the Annual Meeting of the International Institute for Complex Adaptive Matter (ICAM), Hangzhou, April 8-10, 2011. The workshop will also provide a forum in China to celebrate the 100th anniversary of superconductivity. During the workshop, there will be a half-day public lecture session on high-Tc superconductivity for graduated students, junior scientists and local residents.

The workshop will be organized by both ICAM and the recently established International Collaborative Center on Quantum Matter (ICC-QM), a collaborative entity of Zhejiang University, Rice University, Max-Planck Institute for the Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden, and London Centre for Nanotechnology. The first such workshop was held in October 11-15, 2009, jointly sponsored by Zhejiang University, Rice University, MPI for the Chemical Physics of Solids, London Centre for Nanotechnology, USTC, and Hangzhou Normal University. The second workshop was held in May 18-22, 2010, which was a satellite workshop to the SNS 2010 (The 9th International Conference on Spectroscopies in Novel Superconductors, 23-28 May, 2010, Shanghai, China). Information on the previous two workshops can be found at the following websites: http://zimp.zju.edu.cn/~iccqm/workshop2009/ and http://zimp.zju.edu.cn/~iccqm/workshop2010/.
