Getting to Cargèse

Ajaccio is the nearest airport to Cargèse and is connected by several daily flights to Paris and other European cities. Please visit the Ajaccio airport website for a list of airlines serving the area. For other means of traveling to Cargèse visit the towns webpage.

There will be two buses  taking people from ajaccio airport to Cargese on Monday july 6th, one at 1 pm and one at 7 :30 pm. There will be one shuttle bus back from Cargese to Ajaccio airport on  Saturday, the 18th in the morning. If there are enough people coming in the week end  of  July 12-13th, there may be another bus scheduled during the intermediate week-end.

Alternatively Cargèse can be reached by bus and by taxi.

The bus station, which is also the maritime station, can be reached via shuttle from Ajaccio airport. The Ajaccio airport webpage also provides information on local bus timetables.

Taxi service from the airport to Cargèse costs approximately €80 for normal transfer and 95 € for early, late and non working day transfer and takes less than one hour.

Accommodations

The accomodation in Cragese comes with 4 opions varying with price. Note that the accomodation is at the charge of the participant or speaker.

The four choices are the following:
1. Hotel (75 euros per night)
2. Sharing rooms “chez l’habitant” in Cargese or at the institute  ( 28 euros a night)
3. Single room in Cargese or at the Institute (38 euros a night)
4. Camping (5 euros a night)
