Scientific Program
Scope of Workshop:
The objectives of this meeting are (a) to hold a scientific summit on topics at the cutting edge in the area of quantum effects, and (b) to communicate the excitement of this field to the broader condensed matter community. The focus will be on bringing together scientists from the nano- and macro- scale communities, with an emphasis on pedagogy and plenty of time for discussion. There will be a few plenary “review” talks, many short talks, and poster sessions to allow for presenting as wide a range of ongoing research topics as possible.
The topics covered include: unconventional superconductors, transitions in Quantum Hall systems (QHIT, QHPT), Kondo-related phenomena, disordered and frustrated magnets, cold atom physics, and Dirac fermions.
Presentation / Talks will be 35 minutes in length and will include 5 minutes for questions. 40 minutes total.
